Hi Jim,Numbers 3.x will not allow you to set page margins. They are stuck at one inch (2.54 cm). Follow Jerry's advice and use Numbers 2.3 (Numbers '09) or use Office for Mac.If you previously had Numbers 2.3 (Numbers '09) it now lives in a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder. It works just as well as it used to, and has a proper Print View.Hints on workarounds here:23622372In particular,Try Alignment Guides and Rulers as suggested here:Numbers has never had Page Breaks. The Numbers approach is to have several tables, each with a purpose. For example, an input table, a number crunching table, and a 'Presentation' table to summarise results.Use a layout guide:Option 2, copy and paste your table to Pages where I believe the layout is easier to arrange (maybe).Regards,Ian.

That does not make sense to me, I assumed (bad word I know) my new Mac would be fine to use. Now it appears it only useful for basic fooling around on the internet. Very disappointing and a total waste of money.I couldn't disagree more with that statement - in fact use of MAC OS X and iOS is increasing dramatically in business. But you do need to evaluate what the requirements are for your production output, make sure they are indeed genuine requirements and not some random preconception or executive whim, and choose the correct tools for the job. It would appear a Mac is not appropriate for most business use as most businesses use MS based products.Hi Jim,Like many other Mac users, I am in an overwhelmingly Microsoft-oriented office environment, and have no problems. Microsoft Office for the Mac is in my opinion up to almost any task, and is highly compatible with the Windows version. I can also run almost any Windows program via Parallels, though the Mac equivalents are so good I don't have much need for that any more.
I can do anything my Windows PC-using colleagues can, and also some things they can't do: such as sync my spreadsheets painlessly to a good tablet for demonstration to clients.SG. Apple Footer. This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
